Welcome to Saskatoon

The Conference Committee and the Saskatchewan Chapter of CES are delighted to invite you to Saskatoon for the 2004 CES conference. The welcoming prairie atmosphere and the fine program will promote your development as an evaluator and offer valuable networking with your colleagues.

The title of the conference has been chosen to reflect Saskatchewan’s historic roots in cooperative development. The four themes are derived from our title and we anticipate the conference itself will exemplify a cooperative spirit. After all, evaluators never work in isolation; we must always bear in mind the way our work affects others.

At the 2004 conference, you will:

  • develop your conceptions of the potential of evaluation in diverse situations

  • share your experiences with evaluation colleagues from across the country

  • develop your sense of community within the family of evaluators

  • gain an appreciation of how the field of evaluation will develop in the years ahead

The Conference is being held at the Radisson Hotel, on the banks of the beautiful South Saskatchewan river in downtown Saskatoon. Kilometres of developed trails are at your doorstep and will take you easily to such destinations as the University of Saskatchewan, the Mendel Art Gallery, plus the downtown and Broadway shopping districts. We are excited to be hosting the first-ever CES conference in Saskatchewan and we look forward to sharing our city, “the prairie jewel”, with you.
